International Opera Singers Contest

The “Città di Alcamo” international opera singing contest was established in 1998, and takes place every year.
Singers of any nationality can participate, provided that they are older than 18.
An international jury awards cash prizes founded by the Organizing Committee, and the participant are given the possibility to perform in several concerts and auditions.
Since 2005, the Contest has been organized in collaboration with the Massimo Bellini theatre of Catania and associated with the Bellini Music Workshop.

Concert season

The first concert season organized by the “Amici della Musica” Association of Alcamo took place in 1987 in order to spread musical culture to the youth of Alcamo, Castellammare del Golfo and Calatafimi.
Every year, the season includes 14 concerts with nationally and internationally renowned artists.

Vissi d’Arte - Città di Alcamo  Award

The " Vissi d'Arte - Città di Alcamo” International Culture Award was founded in 2001, as an acknowledgment to those representatives of Culture and Art worldwide who disinterestedly, enthusiastically, professionally and constantly work in the fields of knowledge, research, science, and art, for all human beings to find solace, interest, and much more.
